Hey guys. The radio has backgrounds again, plus a new top-bar! One of the things we wish to do is update the track list, so please suggest tracks and albums that you think have the right theme. You can directly upload single tracks here, or if you have several suggestions, you could reach our team at mailbox(at)late.city. Also, if there are any tracks that don't seem to belong, feel free to let us know, so we can do a pass over them ourselves. Check it out! http://radio.late.city ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Old Message] We are going to do some track cleanup, add some more tracks, convert flacs etc. Should see new stuff over the next few days. Still looking for music suggestions. Enjoy! 2019/10/18

I'll see if I can upload the tracks we have right now to mega, or at least get you a list. No promises though

What I'm looking to clean up is the tracks that came with an album or OST, that is otherwise a good fit for the radio, but has one or two that aren't so great a fit.

As you might imagine, we haven't listened to literally every single track, just most.

On that note, if you come across anything you think is questionable, do make a note of it here, we'll at least take a look at it.

The other task we need to get done is to convert some of the FLAC files we have stored to another format; as is they don't do anything but take up extra space because the radio doesn't actually play them in FLAC format.

>>171
Thanks mate, I'll get round to these soon
I heard some of the FTL track on there, you might like risk of rain 1's ost in some parts as well
>>38
Absolutely loving this radio.
>>38
Happy 2020, I love you all. Please let me know if I can do something for this radio.
>>346
Honestly I love the radio the way it is. I don't really listen to this type of music outside of here too often unless I go on a feels ygyl or something
>>38

>>38
cool music.
nice thread
>>38
thank you for never taking the radio down all this time, even on a mostly dead board for anons who can't make the night shorter for themselves. I never really posted anywhere except this thread after the first time I found /late/ but I want you to know that being able to sit with the station open sometimes and remind myself that I'm not the only one stuck awake thinking really makes it a lot easier to deal with. Love you man, no homo
p.s. the other tools you made are cool even if they don't all work
>>762
We have tools? I didn't know that!
First, I'd like to thank you for this. Tuning in every once in a while and really enjoying the comfy sounds.

Also, do you have liquid soap installed? If so, is there an option to request a mountpoint? If sleepy anon is interested, I would host a show with some moderation for /late/
>>156
coming from the future to say thanks

to those that read this now remember what you say here may be seen by others and youll never know how many hear you shouting into the dark
four of us were on the radio today, the highest I ever saw
>>1172
I've just tuned in too.
These are really comfy songs you can relax into and do some work.
>>38

Elliot Rodger was a failed normie? Blasphemy
>>38 I don't thank you enough for this. The station really means a lot to me, I'm glad you guys keep it up. I've never posted here much, just lurked every few months but I'm glad /late/ is always here when I need it. I love you guys, stay safe
>>1172 I think I once saw double digits once but I could be misremembering
Is it possible to trim down the tracks by 仮想夢プラザ/Virtual Dream Plaza? They run on for 20-30 minutes at a time and get repetitive after a while.

It's really efficient for studying too.
I'm should be working on my finals right now instead of procrastinating like I am now. I guess some music can help. It's pretty comfy, what I have heard so far.
>>1920 Not gonna lie, I have the same problem as you. I always tell myself today I'll work, but I don't. One day I want to be the working/enough type of guy, but I have a lot of work to do on myself before that happens. I wish you the best in your final exams, hope you manage to work on them and pass your exams :)

First off, THANK YOU for running the station; there have been a few nights where it was -precisely- what I needed to make it through. If you're still looking for track suggestions, I have a few: Pat Metheny - Daulton Lee (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=359VJXw7Tzk) 貓シ Corp. - Ring World Information System (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCqB0-CtZQQ) Wayr - Silent Thinking (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0LgXxMwqWk) TYMELAPSE - We Became Strangers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfsloRIkxDE)

All of Disparition's stuff is nice. https://disparition.bandcamp.com/album/neukrk - Neukrk is a good album but if I had to point to a peak comfy song by them it would be Atalanta Fugiens. https://disparition.bandcamp.com/track/atalanta-fugiens

I'm at work. After some weeks of holliday far from my home to visite a good friend of mine in Eastern Europe. So, yup, here I am again in the cold and dark night of this young winter. In my good old decaying industrial place lost in an ocean of desolated lands... I started the radio player as I opened the computer, it plays continuously in the background, filling the room with comfy music. As I go outside for doing some work things related, each time I came back, I'm welcomed by the warm and calm music coming from the computer... Currently playing pic rel, man it put me in a state of comfy sadness, all the night around seems filled with emotions and beauty... I like this feeling. I was some weeks without internet, that was really nice but man, I really enjoy coming back to /late/. Suggestion for latestation / latefrens : >Nuances https://bastakiyatapes.bandcamp.com/album/preserve-the-sanctity-of-sound >Dino Spiluttini https://dinospiluttini.bandcamp.com/album/christmas-drone-for-the-sad-and-lonesome May be add more but that's just what I'm thinking about rn because of the track playing reminds me of these. Take care of you late.
Bohren & der Club of Gore might be a good choice for the late night radio. Album "Sunset Mission" is recommended. Here's a track from it: https://youtu.be/gJXlZ6SjRI8
>>8903 Also haircuts for men produces nice music. It's good to listen to sometimes. https://haircutsformen.bandcamp.com/album/ep-3 Thanks for running the station, btw.
Embrace by Angru is pretty good and should make a nice addition to the radio
>>8903 Funny, I was thinking about suggesting this album yesterday. maybe I heard something on the latestation that reminds me of this. >>8886 So I downloaded the album of Nicholas Szczepanik here : https://nszcz.bandcamp.com/album/please-stop-loving-me >>8904 Macroblank is good to, which is, I believe a side project of the guy behind Haircuts for Men.
>>8903 >>8907 It would, we have much of Bohren & der Club of Gore's discography on the radio! >>8904 Same for haircuts for men! (I will look into Macroblank in particular) Thank you for the suggestions so far, we will be sure to check them out for the radio.
>>8910 >Bohren Just came back from a long walk in my old decaying industrial place. Night is cold, the place is empty. Enter the room, Bohren playing on the radio. This is why I enjoy night working, especially during winter. Nothing more comfy than the cold winter nights when no one is alive around expect me and the calm countryside all over the horizon...
